Ashley also counsels clients on issues related to employment and severance agreements, and represents individuals before the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the U.S. Department of Labor.

Prior to joining the firm, Ashley represented individuals, businesses, and governmental entities in a wide range of civil matters including D&O litigation, contract disputes, insurance coverage, complex torts, professional malpractice, employment litigation, and civil rights claims. Most notably, Ashley was part of a trial team that obtained a $5 million jury verdict on behalf of a court-appointed receiver for a failed community bank in an action for bank director and officer negligence and breach of fiduciary duty, which was subsequently affirmed by the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Earlier in her career, Ashley practiced criminal law in Henry County, Georgia, representing indigent clients as first chair defense counsel in numerous jury trials.

Ashley received her law degree from the University of Richmond School of Law, where she was named to the Negotiation Board, and was chosen by faculty to represent the school in regional competitions for both moot court and negotiation. Additionally, while in law school, Ashley completed studies in international and comparative law at Cambridge University, England. Ashley is a cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia, where she studied political science and religion.

When she is not practicing law, Ashley is active in Atlanta's legal community as a Master in the Bleckley Inn of Court, and as a member of the Atlanta Bar Association, the Lawyers Club of Atlanta, and the Georgia Chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association. Outside of work, Ashley enjoys spending time with her family and friends, exploring the outdoors, and cheering for Georgia football. She is a native of Augusta, Georgia.
